Interdisciplinary Science Program Internship Research Experience (INSPIRE)
Galactic Systems offers an intensive educational experience through our internship program. The program emphasizes creativity in interdisciplinary projects. Both graduate and undergraduates will gain experience working on business or research.
Students will gain college credit through participating universities. Student’s advisers have direct access to their work through our internal project management system.
What types of projects do students get to work on?
As an aerospace research and infrastructure development company, Galactic Systems has many space related research projects in the works. Qualifying students will be able to participate in many of these aerospace research projects. Furthermore some of the company’s research projects involve 3D printing, agriculture, machine learning, mathematics, and modeling/simulations, which are also available for students to work on.
In addition students can work on a variety of business infrastructure projects and new media projects involving animation, computer game design, and video editing.
How long does the internship last?
The internship last for one semester during the fall, spring, or summer. The program requires 20 hours a week of work, during the duration of the semester.

Where will I be working from?
Galactic Systems headquarters is located in Jamestown, NY and some of the projects will take place here. However students from participating universities may work on some projects from their own campus using or project management system.
